Tsutsumi & The Art Of Giving
Today my eight year-old nephew had a birthday bash with the extended family. :D I just got back, and while I didn't do much but sit around enjoying the company and such, I'm completely tuckered out at the moment. :P I'm getting older and lame it seems. ;)
I had a great time though. The best part of the night had to be seeing my nephew open his gifts. It's so awesome to bask in the glow that generosity provides when you see the excitement, happiness and gratitude in someone's face when they open up their gifts. It's nice to be nice. And truly it's much better to give than receive.
Today was especially special since it was someone's birthday, and that meant that I would be able to wrap some presents. :D There are few thing I take more pleasure in than the art of gift wrapping. I immerse myself in the experience of experimenting with new techniques. About two years ago I got into Tsutsumi, the Japanese art of gift-wrapping. It's a truly detailed, precise, elegant and beautiful art. I've been hooked with it ever since I first began dabbling with it. Adapting its techniques to suit my own style and to help lend a personal touch to all my gifts. I wish I had taken a picture of the gift before I sent it off... but it was nothing special. Maybe I'll post some other samples in another post further on down the line. ;) Promises, promises. ;)
Okay, well that's enough from me tonight. Have a good one peeps... and don't forget to be nice and generous. Remember, "It's nice to be nice." ;)
