So I've mentioned earlier that I planned on developing a "Linkage" feature to share my favorite links and such. But I watch a ton of video each week so I don't want to restrict Linkage strictly to hyperlinks, I want to include embedded video as well. Much like a lot of the early features on this blog, I've been wary to dive into creating posts that were too "rich" because I lacked the knowledge to include rich media. It's all very easy though... this is Blogger after all, it's quite accessible and automated. You'll notice that I've begun to include photos and links in my recent posts... so I thought it was about time to start experimenting with posting video.
YouTube, and all of the rest of these Flash video sites in fact, make it very easy to embed their videos. I assume it's as simple as it seems. I hope it's only a matter of copying & pasting. So here goes. (If it fails... I'll just include a hyperlink. :P )
PJ Harvey is one of my favorite artists of all-time. She's an amazing musician. Sadly, I haven't made it all the way through her catalogue, owning only her first four albums. I have much left to listen to. Though, this hasn't stopped me from becoming extremely excited about her new album which is due out here in the States on the 25th of this month. I've been keeping most of the news of the album at bay. I just know that the album is called White Chalk and is heavily piano and string inspired. I've also been able to gather that album is supposed to be a stylized take on 19th Century Chamber Music. Sonically and visually the album is a call back to the days of old. I'm very interested in the album, and just can't wait to have it in my hands.
So here's a TV appearance of PJ Harvey performing a new song from the new album. The track is titled Grow Grow Grow. It's indescribable. Pure perfection. You gotta watch it. Enjoy. ;)
